Reiver Prototype

Prototype

KOLARP suspension: all the benefits of Marra, in a shorter-travel package, but with even more magic.

The bottom bracket is in the middle of the lower suspension linkage. This means that from seated to standing the leverage ratio changes by 14%. So the suspension gets stiffer (for more efficient pedalling) when you sit down, and releases more travel when you stand up for descending. All without the need to flip a lever or even think about it - Reiver simply and intuitively adjusts to your natural weight shifts.

Because of this, Reiver climbs and pedals with the efficiency of a 115mm travel XC race bike, but descends like a 150mm travel trail bike.

Reiver prototype v1

Reiver was built as a platform for experimenting and refining the KOLARP suspension layout.

This might look like a showroom-ready finished product, but in reality it’s a highly adjustable experimental prototype that was built for learning and gathering data.

Gary has ridden over 1,000 miles on the bike pictured, and has ridden Reiver to podium finishes in local races.

Pete Scullion, Wideopen MTB mag had a wee test ride in August 2025. “It is hard to articulate how easy it is to rip on the Reiver”. We think he articulated it quite clearly.

Dec 2025: Now that development of Marra is complete, our attention has turned back to Reiver. We hope to get V2 complete later in 2026. This is going to be awesome.
