Auckland Cycle Works presents the Marra. Designed around the unique patented KOLARP suspension design, Marra pedals, climbs, descends and brakes better than anything you’ve ever experienced.
This is a limited edition full-custom build. Only 25 Marra frames will be built during 2024. We have found the best geometry for us, but we’re also aware that the bike has to fit you and your riding style. We’ll work with you to get your perfect geometry.
After placing your order, Auckland Cycle Works founder/inventor Gary Ewing will be in touch with you to discuss the options, develop the spec to your exact requirements, and build your ideal bike.

Adjustable chainstay lengths have a dramatic effect on the playfulness of the bike. Adjustable forward shock mounts are micro-adjustable so after changing forks or crank lengths, you can still get your perfect BB height.
Marra is built from Reynolds 853 chromoly steel tubing. The “stronger when welded” properties of Reynolds 853 make it the obvious choice for a bike of this nature.
The KOLARP suspension design is unique to Auckland Cycle Works. This new design of rear suspension means Marra pedals and climbs better, the suspension is more effective so you go faster, it delivers unmatched chassis stability, and the braking performance is like nothing you’ve experienced before. More notes on shock choice:
Marra is only available with the Cane Creek Kitsuma air or Tigon coil. KOLARP suspension performs best with less low-speed damping as it requires no hidden magic to compensate for pedal bob or rider weight shifts. This increases suspension suppleness and traction. Other shocks are likely to need custom-tuning to deliver such low amounts of damping, while the Cane Creek shocks are adjustable through this range as standard. (How often have you read that a reviewer felt a different compression damping tune was necessary? The Cane Creek Kitsuma gives us and you the adjustment range to make it perfect, regardless of your weight or riding style).
